The long awaited
first Anambra state scout Youth forum scheduled
to hold 31st August through 3rd
September, 2017 was well attended by the scouts from various Divisional scout
councils.
The first and conspicuous
youth forum was declared open by the state scout commissioner, Prince Levi
Ezeudogu on behalf of the state scout patron, Chief Willie Obiano, Governor
Anambra State and the state scout president, Hon. Justice Peter NC Umeadi,
Chief Judge of Anambra state.
He thanked the
participant and the invited guests for their perseverance towards working to
Chief Obiano’s philosophy of doing more with the less.
He acknowledged the presence
of the former State commissioner for
girls Guide, Mrs Uche Orakwute and Mrs Agbataekwe Nonye, a District commissioner
He therefore, assured
the National Chairman, Youth forum, Ogboko Kelvin Igbosotu, that the Anambra
state scout council will do the needful to harness the youths and do anything necessary
to ensure the progress of this forum for there are a lot of goodies for the
forum if they assure its loyalty
The Anambra State Youth
coordinator, Nwosu Augustine Kodili expressed his gratitude over the youth
forum declared open as the 1st
Anambra state youth forum by the state scout commissioner, Prince Levi
Ezeudogu.
The national chairman,
youth forum was overwhelmed over what he was seeing . He says “I am
overwhelmed with what I am seeing. This youth forum has marked the beginning of
youth activities in Nigeria, for Anambra state is the first state scout council
that has organized the youth forum.”
During the opening
ceremony, the principal of Comprehensive secondary School, Nawfia,Chief Ezeamaku Christian was inducted. The principal
was introduced at the parade ground as one of the persons helping the state
scout council by granting the use of school premises for various scouting
activities, ranging from 22nd August 2015 during the investiture
ceremony of patron of Anambra state
scout council, Chief willie Obiano, Governor Anambra State, to the Basic
Training course BTC and this youth forum.
Expressing his
gratitude over his induction ceremony at the parade ground Chief Ezeamaku C. says
“I
was a scout during my primary school in 1970. My group was 18th
Aguata group where Late Umeh was the scout master. I re-joined scout at school
where my vice principal, Rev Igboegwe was a scout officer. Now, I m re- joining
again as an adult” Furthermore, he says “
I will make sure that a scout group is formed in ths comprehensive secondary
school, Nawfia.”

Election of state
officecers was conducted in the presecenc of the National Chairman. The
